Overview

Responsibilities

Assist with technical security services relative to the development, acquisition, and sustainment of aeronautical weapon systems, sub-systems, and associated support systems.  Implementation of Information, Personnel, Physical, Industrial, and Communications Security; Resource Protection, Force Protection, and Anti- Terrorism programs.   Assist with program protection, technology control, protection of For Official Use Only (FOUO) information, and other information requiring protection ensuring compliance with related DoD and AF instructions.   Support the Directorate’s Security operation  by maintaining Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) coordinated meetings and agendas.  Prepare and coordinate security-related briefing materials.  Provide security-related technical assistance to the Directorate for briefings, meetings, and conferences.  Record and track security program action items, suspenses, and processes.  Assist with managing newcomer and security-related databases. Maintain an active Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) account and assist with verifying personnel security clearances.  Assist with providing special administrative and logistical assistance for visiting personnel.  Process personnel security investigation documents, reviewing the investigation documents for accuracy, and tracking submitted requests for personnel security clearances.   Assist with the development of security requirements into contractual commitments.  Administratively assist with the coordination of DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specification.  Assist travelers in preparing Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) and Continental United States (CONUS) travel clearance and security training requirements. Establish and maintain official file plans with the use of AFRIMS.  Assist with electronic files management, records management, and file plan management.  Use Microsoft Office tools to prepare security-related spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms, and documents. Prepare and maintain security program documentation and briefing materials.

 

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.  A minimum of an additional six (6) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree; or,  a minimum of an additional four (4) years of relevant work experience plus an Associate’s degree may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.  A minimum of two (2) years of any experience must have been performed on DoD programs/projects.  Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to their functional area.
