The successful candidate will plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Assess the cybersecurity process with the objective of identifying gaps and recommending improvements for cybersecurity package submissions and for the content and structure of required artifacts that will reflect and comply with the latest cybersecurity policies and guidelines. Conduct research and investigation into concepts and techniques that will enhance processes to ensure flexibility to anticipate and accommodate changes in cybersecurity policy and directives.  Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose risk mitigation strategies. Recommend appropriate security controls that will safeguard IT systems, digital files, and vital electronic infrastructure. Recommend strategies to respond to computer security breaches and viruses. Responsibilites include:

  • Validates all information system security reporting.
  • Provide cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503, Intelligent Community (IC) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), DoD 8140, Cyber Workforce Management, and Air Force Manual, 33-285, Cybersecurity Workforce Improvement Program research, analysis, and recommendations to assess and accredit emerging cybersecurity capabilities and methodologies to include assessing controls, monitoring and reporting on controls and on the status of mitigation actions.
  • Develop methods for validating cybersecurity requirements, determining vulnerabilities, developing cybersecurity tools and methods, and conducting AoA of cybersecurity information systems.
  • Develop the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) relating to the RMF process.
  • Maintains an inventory of all information systems.
  • Develops and publishes procedures necessary to implement the requirements of IT security policy.


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Security-related certification:
    • IAM Level II-III
    • CISSP / CISM (preferred)
  • Must possess high attention to detail.
  • Excellend written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
