Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must have experience in a variety of IT operations support from assisting systems architects and engineers resolve client infrastructure and application systems issues.  The candidate will assist or on their own develop system level Operating Procedures (SOP), training documentation, policies, and policy instructions to support complex IT environments and applications. Candidates must be experienced with developing System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) teams in both waterfall and agile methodologies.  The primary responsibilities of the systems analyst will include:

  • Interact with Senior Architects and Engineers, Program Managers, and Project Managers to perform assigned activities in the development of infrastructure and application support plans, implementation plans, and enterprise architectures.
  • Interact with Information Assurance (IA) engineers and Security SMEs to support activities for application systems accreditation and Authority to Operate.
  • Create, or assist in creation of architecture roadmaps, diagrams, and SDLC documentation of enterprise systems.
  • Create, and track project assigned activities to successful completion with the assistance of project architects, engineers, and IA team members.
  • Interact with other external stakeholder agencies and organizations as well as application owners.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field.
  • MCP, Security +, A + and related certifications are a plus.
  • Well-rounded IT infrastructure and applications support experience.
  • Self-starter, eager to move into more responsible and technical experience and skills.
  • Must possess excellent oral communication and writing skills to facilitate communications with key external stakeholders, application owners, and leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and should be able to create technical documentation.
  • Experience support Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience documenting complex modern IT environments and applications where IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS are employed and integrated with applications.
  • Familiarity with federal government projects.
  • Familiarity with Federal Information Security Policies, Information Assurance practices, and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) requirements.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to achieve a government clearance.
