Responsibilities

Seeking a professional and experienced Technical Writer/Editor Expert to join our on-site customer-facing team.   The Technical Writer will create new and update existing documentation including but not limited to: SOPs, Playbooks, Requirements, Process Flows, Use Cases etc. Additionally, will oversee, evaluate, edit, and support documentation processes necessary to assure a mature, validated, and robust documentation repository consistent with customer’s cybersecurity mission.

  • Support federal information system documentation to include:
    • System Security Plan (SSP)
    • Security Concept of Operations (SECONOPs),
    • Architectural overviews
    • System Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents for performing assessments/security activities.
    • System configurations for devices and software performing security-relevant functions
    • Vulnerability and penetration test results
    • Security incident reports
    • System security performance metrics
  • Review system security and programmatic documentation, recommend improvements.
  • Participate in the development or program related documentation.
  • Support the review and editing of all documentation prior to delivery to customer.

Qualifications

  • Expertise working directly with government customers and managers.
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience of 5 or more years in relate work.
  • Minimum 5 years of Microsoft Windows and Office experience.
  • Strong desktop publishing skills utilizing Microsoft Word and other publishing suites such as Adobe.
  • Experience with industry writing style such as grammar, sentence form, and structure inclusive of Federal Plain Language Guideline (FPL) and Federal Register’s, “Document Drafting Handbook”.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple work streams, competing requirements and multiple schedules and to facilitate coordination and reconciliation between different stakeholders with the aim of delivering a comprehensive solution that meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Experience with NIST 800-53, and cybersecurity standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong initiative, detail oriented, organizational skills, aptitude for analytical thinking, ability to multi-task in a deadline oriented environment.
  • US Citizen, and must successfully complete the required government's security clearance.
