    NikSoft is currently conducting a search for a professional and experienced Cyber Security Risk Expert to add to its team in support of the United States Postal Service. The candidate will have expertise in managing cybersecurity risk both a business and agency perspective.


    • Design and administer procedures in the organization that sustains the security of the organization’s data and access to its technology and communications systems.
    • Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms, access procedures, and forms of access to the organization’s systems and the data contained in them.
    • Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms and access procedures.
    • Identifying and prioritizing organization risks and presenting those risks to leadership.
    • Provide technical support on post even network security logs and trend analysis.
    • Uncovers security and compliance violations.
    • Pinpoints the location of compromised systems and devices.
    • Correlates IP address related events with specific systems or devices in the IT infrastructure.
    • Develop, document, and execute containment strategies.
    • Coordinate efforts of multiple business units during response.
    • Develop requirements for technical capabilities for cyber incident management.
    • Investigate major breaches of security and recommending appropriate control improvements.


    • 5+ years of experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines
    • Equivalent combination of education/training/experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
    • Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software and networks
    • Meticulous attention to detail
    • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
    • A forensic approach to challenges
    • A deep understanding of how hackers work and ability to keep up with the fast pace of change in the criminal cyber-underworld
    • Ability to seek out vulnerabilities in IT infrastructures
    • Preferred certifications:
      • CISSP
      • CCSK or CCSP
      • CISA
      • CRISC

    ** US Citizenship status and Active DOD Secret Clearance (preferred but not required), must successfully complete the government’s security process (required) **
