    NikSoft is currently conducting a search for a professional and experienced Jr. Accounting Clerk/Office Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced and small business federal contracting environment providing accounting and office management support.

    Responsibilities

    • Understand Chart of Accounts, use the correct charge codes to assign for vendor and subcontractor invoices.
    • Motivation and ability to adapt in a face paced and growth focused work environment.
    • Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable & accounts receivable, transactions to include:
      • Review vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests
      • Follow up on correction of Subcontractor invoices
      • Assign appropriate charge code to each incoming expense
      • Enter approved invoices in Deltek GCS Premier
      • Conduct routine reconciliation of vendor accounts and Aged Accounts Receivables
      • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current
      • Resolve discrepancies in data entered
      • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
      • Produce monthly A/P and A/R reports
    • Perform office management functions (front desk, inventory, mail, order supplies, water plants, restock kitchen, run dishwasher)
    • Provide general executive and administrative support to back office
    • Act as Deltek administrator by resetting employee passwords and sending timesheet reminders
    • Create and maintain job templates and compliance forms on SharePoint site
    • Order and distribute ID badges, business cards and parking passes to new employees
    • Review employee expense reports for accuracy and completion
    • Assist with NikSoft social media branding (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
    • Record weekly staff meeting minutes and upload to SharePoint site
    • Maintain up-to-date employee roster and resume repository

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree; Accounting or Finance Degree Preferred
    • 0+ years of professional administrative & accounting clerk experience
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Strong critical thinking and time management skills
    • Positive attitude and openness to coaching
    • Be able to obtain a general and favorable background check
