NikSoft is currently conducting a search for a professional and experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team as we expand our program and base of operations in Montgomery, Alabama. Working with Subject Matter Experts in Life Cycle Management, we will be at the forefront of next generation technology to provide one authoritative source of data, improved data accuracy, and reduced data duplication. Our complete services include: planning, design, test, update, documentation, implementation, development, sustainment, and fielding of advanced systems effectively optimizing technology at the National level.

    Responsibilities

    • Interact with program offices (requirements management, acquisition planning and development, et al), Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), and Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) engineering coordinators, functional domains, functional A&AS, the system integrator, system developer, portfolio manager, process improvement teams, communities of interest, and others as needed to develop architecture
    • The candidate shall facilitate meetings with the groups identified above to elicit the system data/information required to complete the system’s architecture, Information Support Plan (ISP), and Joint Interoperability Certification (JIC).
    • The candidate shall coordinate with the Lead Engineer if an ISP is needed. If an ISP is not needed, the candidate shall provide information and documentation required to obtain a waiver. The candidate shall also transition the products into the repository and make them available to program management for analysis and future modifications. This effort will produce the full enterprise architecture view
    • If it is determined that an ISP is required, the candidate shall submit all ISP artifacts in accordance with the program schedule. The candidate shall also submit the ISP to Global Information Grid Technical Guidance-Federation (GTG-F) and resolve and update the ISP as required based upon comments received.
    • The candidate shall update and/or transition existing enterprise architecture artifacts into and/or develop new enterprise architecture artifacts using System Architect modeling tool, Global Information Grid Technical Guidance Federation (GTG-F), and other repositories as required and outlined in the service delivery summary. Although the modeling will be performed using System Architect, the deliverable products will be System Architect models, MS VISIO, MS Word documents, MS Excel Spreadsheets, and MS PowerPoint slides to meet the customer’s requirements. The candidate shall develop MS Word documents, MS Excel Spreadsheets and MS PowerPoint slides using the most current versions at the time. The architecture deliverable is set up in such a way that the delivery of the artifacts will allow the Government time to review the submissions and then allow the coordinator time to make any adjustments before impacting the ISP Schedule. The candidate shall submit all MS products and actual models in accordance with the individual program
    • The candidate shall develop and build the Architecture Views and Artifacts, in accordance with the most recent version of architecture standards. Additionally, the architecture shall demonstrate compliance with the most recently available Information Enterprise Architecture and Joint Common System Function List. The candidate shall also conduct independent peer reviews of the architecture products produced and provide documented evidence of those reviews.
    • After approval of the ISP and certification of the Net–Ready Key Performance Parameter (NR-KPP), provide support to the program office to coordinate specific actions necessary to achieve interoperability certification. This involves coordination with other agencies as appropriate to result in a JIC. It may include gathering testing artifacts from the program office test-manager and providing them to JITC, coordinating other JITC information requirements with the program office, and ensuring the JIC is incorporated into milestone decisions and connection request packages. It may also involve providing support to the program manager to address actions associated.
    • The candidate shall manage a version-controlled architecture.
