    NikSoft is currently conducting a search for a professional and experienced Project to add to its team in support of the United States Postal Service. The candidate will have expertise in the project governance field which includes knowledge of the set of policies, regulations, functions, processes, procedures and responsibilities that define the establishment, management and control of projects, programs and portfolios. 

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for coordinating all technical aspects and assisting with strategic and legal aspects for all assigned projects and matters involving project governance.
    • Serves as the primary point of contact throughout the project governance lifecycle, applying in-depth knowledge and experience to provide expert consultation and advice to the DCISO.
    • Consults with DCISO teams to effectively develop and apply technical strategies, requirements and goals in order todevelop and implement project plans, including data collection, and high-level projects. 
    • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for project governance related to ensure proper communication between the team members. Advises DCISO on project governance best practices.
    • Ensures standard procedures for project governance projects are consistently applied across DCISO.
    • Conducts regular briefings on new technology and process improvements with regard toproject governance. 
    • Champion and support the client on high level projects, requiring monthly updates to the CIO and other leadership teams.
    • Record and communicate decisions made by DCISO.
    • Establish clearly defined roles, responsibilities and performance criteria for governance.
    • Develop coherent and supportive relationships between business strategy and projects.
    • Foster a culture of improvement and frank disclosure of project information.
    • Ensuring that business cases are supported by information that allows reliable decision making.
    • Ensure that stakeholders are engaged at a level that reflects their importance to the organization and in a way that fosters trust.
    • Support the deployment of suitably qualified and experienced team members.
    • Ensure that project management adds value.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
    • Microsoft Project, Visio and Excel mastery preferred
    • Process Improvement experience
    • Technical experience with Information Technology
    • Project Management mastery (project management education or certificate preferred)
    • Excellent teamwork and communications skills
    • Must be clearable (active DOD clearance preferred).

    ** US Citizenship status and Active DoD Secret Clearance (preferred but not required), must successfully complete the government's security process (required). **
