    This NikSoft opportunity will have the candidate to be an Air Force liaison representative at the Defense Logistics Agency in conjunction with JLOC, DLA CENTCOM/SOCOM, Air Force Material Command, NAVSUP, and other supply chain entities.  They will perform various types of warfighter readiness technical studies, analyses, and provide recommendations to PMA/PEO Leadership as it relates to Air Force Supply Chain Asset Management and goals of increasing solutions and support to the warfighter.  This position will perform strategic planning using the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning process to include demand analysis, determine target stock levels, validation of existing stock levels, Air Force Asset Management and Asset Availability, replenishment decisions, sustainment of repair capabilities and sources of supply, and coordination with customer and engineering to determine supply chain concepts.

    Responsibilities

    • Make use of automated data bases and systems to ensure there is sufficient material to support the Air Force mission through technical assessment of local inventories. Will act as the liaison to assure qualitative/quantitative asset management, distribution, storage and shipping, cataloging, and preservation and packaging.
    • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies related to Air Force assets. Provide recommendations for inventory reconciliation by investigating discrepancies, initiating inventory comparisons, and making recommendations for resolution.  Collaborate with distribution centers, supply centers, and supply agencies worldwide; i.e., with DLA to ensure Air Force current and upcoming needs are identified, available, and being met in the supply chain.
    • Participate in the development of demand forecasts and identify implications of such forecasts.
    • Evaluate execution activities to include execution of replenishment orders, redistribution of material between locations, management of assets and components through the lifecycle, review applicability of warranties, and identify and provide recommendations to PMA on supply chain management issues and discrepancies. Asset manager also maintains internal/external customer interface with regular communication and interfaces with internal organizations such as procurement, order management, engineering, provisioning, finance, and program management.
    • Develop supply chain strategies to be implemented over the next ten years and present these strategies to key stakeholders and PMA Leadership; ensuring that strategies comply with legal requirements and DOD/Air Force policies, value assurance frameworks and business principles.
    • Develop segmented supplier relationship engagement models of suppliers, monitor supplier/category performance, and engage with suppliers to improve performance.
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with major contractors and suppliers at top management level, leveraging such relationships with relevant supply chains to provide current and insightful supply chain intelligence.
    • Coordinate with Air Force and common business users, technical proponents, and other Supply Chain functions (such as tactical procurement and materials management) to ensure that the maximum value is obtained.
    • Collaborate, coordinate, and close liaison with category/supply managers in the conventional Materials Supply organizations to ensure Air Force alignment of category strategies at the corporate level. Additionally, will demonstrate a unified approach to market for strategic categories while utilizing extensive knowledge and experience to ensure that the Air Force implements a cost-efficient and effective category management function.

     

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience. A minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree; or 8 years plus a Bachelor’s.
    • 4+ years of experience on a DoD program/project required.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a current Secret Clearance
    • Level 1 Security Fundamentals Professional Certification
