    NikSoft is hiring a Sr. Fraud Analyst to review our client’s web transaction log data across a variety of products and services in order to identify fraud transactions and web sessions. They will leverage existing technologies within the environment, like Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and/or customer experience tools to identify fraud identification indicators to enable the establishment of network perimeter, application level and/or web layer controls. The Senior Fraud Analyst will be capable to extract large sets of eCommerce data for ad hoc analysis. In addition, they will be able to generate/create fraud monitoring reports, detection alerts and fraud impact assessment reporting to support the overall fraud management program.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Fraud Detection and Monitoring
    • Execute and develop queries within a customer experience application, like TeaLeaf, in order to design and develop application specific monitoring and detection reporting
    • Ability to extract large sets of data from said application(s) for ad hoc analysis
    • Familiar with other eCommerce data collection tools and applications and will have the ability to learn and interact with the program’s specific applications and reports
    • Ability to use a SIEM tool in the application of fraud detection
    • Familiar with a rules engine/application-based approach and/or behavior analysis methods used for evaluation and assessment of eCommerce transactions for potential fraud
    • Familiar with various data analysis tools and database technologies.
    • Support investigations through data research and analysis to gather additional supporting investigative material.
    • Fraud Models and Statistical Analysis
    • Develop and apply various statistical techniques to design models/framework that detect fraud and/or other traffic risk patterns within the eCommerce transaction workflow and test, refine, and improve these models or framework.
    • Obtain, parse and evaluate large data sets in order to differentiate fraudulent from non-fraudulent payment transactions, and further apply strong data analysis skills to develop future fraud identification strategies.
    • Familiar with the chargeback process in order to evaluate and separate fraud chargebacks from non-fraud chargebacks.
    • Ability to create regular reports and graphics depicting detected fraud patterns and trends with various visualization tools and reporting services
    • Process and Workflow
    • Participate on any new projects, as project manager or team member, involving eCommerce or cyber related implementation projects for the client.
    • Evaluate, design and propose technical solutions which will achieve operational efficiency and fraud detection and prevention for the client.
    • Develop data flow diagrams, workflow processes, transactional diagrams in order to document processes and deliver overview orientation training to various group members and executives
    • Capable of writing procedures that are clear and detailed sufficiently that orient with the tools, applications methods and processes developed in tasks 1 and 2

     

    Qualifications

    • Extensive experience (10+) years working in the areas of (intelligence, information security, network forensics, insider threat).  
    • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security. Master’s degree is preferred.
    • Expertise in risk, fraud, vulnerability and detection for large-scale government transformation programs

    **US Citizenship status and Active DoD Secret Clearance (preferred), must successfully complete the government's security process (required).**
